I Sang Karaoke Every Weekend and Became a Max Level Bard in a Fantasy World - Chapter 0 - Overture

"Name and age?" "Miyu Seki, 24 years old." "Miss Seki, I'll get to the point. We aren't really in need of anyone with your skill set. Advanced mathematics was it? That isn't something a law firm really needs. An accountant or analytics, sure, but why don't you sell us on yourself. Why do you think you would be an asset." That was the part where I always choked. My memory is one of my strong points- I could memorize just about anything. But as for my actual skills, they were mostly worthless. I had nothing really worth putting myself forward for. I suppose that lack of confidence is why I couldn't get a job. Another interview with no results. To add onto it all, my savings have nearly run out. I'll probably have to move back to the countryside with my parents. I hadn't really seen them since I moved to Tokyo for middle school. I wonder if they still think of me as their daughter. Why did I take up advan...

Witch's Sock - A Children's Story

Tomorrow was an important day at school for Cora, as it was Show and Tell! The day when all the little witches and warlocks get to show off their favorite possessions. However, Cora had a slight problem: her favorite sock puppet, Pluton, had gone Missing! “Pluton! Pluton! Where have you gone?” Cora called from room to room in her house of magical objects. She searched her drawers and under her bed, but Pluton was nowhere to be found! Only one more place to look in her room: her magical wardrobe. “Wardrobe, wardrobe, you store all my clothes. Have you seen my sock puppet Pluton?” The wardrobe opened its doors and emptied out her clothes. “There are lots of socks here, but none are Pluton.” Cora moved on to the next room. In her mother’s study, she found her puppy, Berry, nibbling on a sock! Her heart sunk in horror as she ran to his side. “Berry! How could you chew on that sock! Could it be my dear Pluton?” “Not at all!” Said Berry, “it's your mother’s sock!” “Well, tha...

I Sang Karaoke Every Weekend and Became a Max Level Bard in a Fantasy World - Chapter 2, The Knowledge Terminal

The important looking elf woman got out what looked to be a teapot from atop a fireplace, then poured the hot water into some cups before handing me one. I took it hesitantly. “It’s tea. Do they not have tea in the demon country?” I looked down at the cup. There were some leaves at the bottom that seemed to mix with the water. I took a sip, and sure enough it was tea. It wasn’t a flavor I had tasted before, though. “Thank you.” I said meekly. “You speak the demon language pretty well, but your clothes don’t seem suited for traveling. How did you end up so far into the Bridge Forest?” “I’m sorry, I’m not sure. I just kinda woke up here…” Was English considered the language of demons here? I wonder what the normal human language sounds like…” “Well, you’re lucky Skiep found you, these woods are known to be fatal to many humans trying to cross the continents. The Faerie Queen has told the elf and pixie villages to turn back any who they find in the woods, but for you to be this...
